Plants Testimony | Animal Testimony

Our NATURES BIO FARM OF THE DAY is that of Mr. Ernesto Pedregosa located at Lingayao, Las Nieves, Agusan Del Norte, with farmer cooperator Mr. Henry Jimenez of PhilRice Region XIII RTR.

Mr. Pedregosa, an owner of a rice farm in at Lingayao, Las Nieves, Agusan Del Norte, wanted to try and shift into organic farming to have more yield and to save costs in his inputs and labor. With his plan, he tried Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller and its proper protocol in the planting of his rice. He utilized 2 hectares of his rice farm, he applied Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller solution to 1 hectare and another hectare was applied with the conventional solution as comparison to see the results of each stage of the planting process. Starting from the land preparation, seed soaking, the distance of planting of the seedlings, and the spraying of the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller, Mr Pedregosa witnessed the good results on the rice.

The pictures shows good results with the plants looking very healthy and vigorous 6 weeks post transplantation and after spraying only 70ml of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and 70 ml Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller. More improvements were evident come the 8th week and the tilering stage with the same ratio of application.

Mr. Pedregosa was very happy with the results showing healthy crops at the milking and ripening stages. Compared to the treated bundled palay samples, the non-treated looked dry and had less tillers per hill. The bundled palay and the rice stubbles of the treated samples looks greener and had more productive tillers.

At the end of the cropping phase, the rice stubbles were still green even after harvest, marking the good effect of the treatment of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller.  This protocol has produced of 115 sacks at 56kg per hectare (6.44t/ha crop yield). In comparison with the untreated crops and those treated conventionally, only 68 sacks at 55kg per hectare (3.74t/ha). They obtained almost 100% increase in yield.

We would like to thank Mr Pedregosa and the Department of Agriculture Agusan Province for sharing your Natures Bio Experience

Pests and heavy rainfall are one of the factors that stop or lower the growth and production of rice. In our featured testimony today, Jessie Ogahayon , a farmer co operator from Camanjac, Dumaguete City shares his Natures Bio Experience with his treatment demo of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller in his Rice Organic Culture and how it helped him recover and harvest organic rice despite of the challenges he had Encounter.

Sir Jessie has been planting rice for so many years. He was curious about growing an Organic Rice Culture, its production and how it creates a lot of demand inside and outside of Dumaguete. Because of this, he was open to try producing organic rice with the treatment of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller and compare it to the conventional method. Giving a demo area of 100 sq m for the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller treated area and another 100 sq m for the conventional method area; he conducted the 1st cropping with the proper protocol.

First was the land preparation where in the cultivated rice field was inoculated with 50 ml Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and 50 ml Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller to mix in ½ knapsack sprayer sprayed 2 times at 7 days interval 2 weeks before transplanting. Together with the land preparation, preparing the seedbed was also commenced. The seeds then were soaked in Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer solution of 50ml overnight before sowing on the seedbed. After sowing, seedlings were sprayed with Natures Bio solution of ½ knapsack sprayer for100 sqm. Trial area.

The Naturesbio solution used in soaking the seeds was sprayed on the seed bed before and after sowing. 15 days after sowing, seedlings were uprooted and ready for transplanting, these seedlings were first soaked to Naturesbio solutions for 2 hours prior to planting at the paddy. Solutions used for soaking were sprayed to the planting area intended for Naturesbio TREATMENT demo area

The control area was left with zero treatment but planted simultaneously with the Naturesbio treated area. 7 days after transplanting, seedlings were treated with 75 ml Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller to a ½ knapsack sprayer of water at 7 days interval after the initial treatment and were done at 7 days interval up to grains maturing. The application was always done every late afternoon and no incoming rain after hourse from application. The stand of rice plants 15 days after transplanting grows vigorously however; golden snail infested the whole area while the divider block was eroded by heavy rainfall.

Again treatment with NaturesBio Organic Fertilizer / Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller solution was applied as scheduled and also to control snail (kuhol) incidence of the area. But after just one week, the rice plant treated with Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller became healthier with dark green color an larger tillers compared to the non-treated / conventional area that showed small tillers and lighter green in color. Seven days from the 3rd spraying of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller, the rice plant showed more improvement with larger tillers in good condition and bigger stalks.

Another unfortunate event occur as Rice Bugs attacked the rice plants which came from other newly harvested rice fields and transferred to the demo after 8 weeks right after the flowering stage which caused damged to the rice plants. With this situation, 100ml of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and 100 ml Natures BioNim Organic Pest Controller in 1 knapsack sprayer were sprayed to try and save the treated area.

In the end, the rice demo was harvested but there are some damaged parts that were caused by the pests that were not recovered on both treated and non-treated areas. The weight of the Naturesbio / BioNim treated area was 39 ½ kilograms and non-treated area was 28 ½ kilograms respectively. The damaged caused by pest weighted 17 kilograms. The “tahop” weighted 23 kilograms or 1 ½ sack. These resulted to a 35% Increased of yield compared to non-treated despite of the damages that were caused by the golden snails and rice bugs and the heavy rainfall.

Some farmers are used to applying conventional method in their farming using chemicals without knowing the risks of the end users. It has been a challenge for us to convince our farmers in shifting into organic method because of a lot of reasons. To name a few, reasons include lower yield and income, higher cost, a lot of work, longer crop cycle, poor quality after harvest and many others have hindered them in going into organic.

Sitoy is one of those who took up the challenge in taking the organic way in yielding his vegetables, of which were employed conventional way of farming for several years now. He is from Dumalan, Dalaguete Cebu and will be sharing his Natures Bio.  There was a time that inspite of the good climate in Dalaguete, there were still be pests attacking the plants even if insecticide/pesticides were applied. The maintenance then became more costly in buying chemical fertilizers, hence leaving with them smaller income and to some even financial loss. Sitoy was also prudent to be aware of the effects that it brings to the people who eat it.

On the other hand, however, he was also hesitant in going into organic on full blast because of the slow crop cycle, he also thinks it might be more costly, that it may not give a good yield and it might incur more loss in his crops. He was thinking that if it is organically produced, the physical appearance of the crop might not look that good. So he decided and agreed with us to have a comparative demo trial with his cabbages at first before applying in his other crops. There were two controls one with Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim treatment and the other control was the conventional method with chemical fertilizer (liquid) with an alternate chemical fertilizer (solid), with insecticide, herbicide and fungicide).

Using the proper protocol, NaturesBio Protocol Application:

  1. Soil treated with fermented chicken dung and sprayed NBO /NBN twice before transplanting (100ml / 16 liters Sprayer). (Land Preparation)
  2. Seeds soaked 12 hours with diluted NBO (50ml / liter H2O)
  3. Seedbed treated with NBO /NBN
  4. Sprayed every 7 days , with NBO/NBN (100ml/16liters sprayer) solution to arrest bacteria and repel insects.

Sitoy and even his neighboring co- farmers, noticed a great difference with the other control. With their comments: the Cabbages that are Natures Bio treated are freshly, bigger looking and grows into heavier sizes. There were also less insect attacks that lead to less damage on the cabbages. In comparison to the Natures Bio Treated Cabbages, the Conventional/chemical Treated cabbages have been the favorite of the insects and pest and attacks from time to time. That’s why these cabbages became hollow, dried looking and are very light in weight.

He was so much satisfied because he can’t believe on the results that he gained on his cabbages, there was a clear difference with the yield and outcome of the appearance and weight of the cabbages. He was also happy and became more eager in going into organic because of the big savings he could get in using Natures Bio with his crops compared to the conventional way which came out to be more costly.

Now he is planning to use Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller in all in his cabbages as well as with his carrots and bell pepper in the future. We would like to thank Manong Sitoy and the neighborhood of Dumalan, Dalaguete for welcoming Natures Bio and became witnesses of its works and how it improves the yield and quality of the crops. May we spread the Natures Bio Experience to other people.

After using Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer (NBO) and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller (NBN) with their Cabbages, Manong Sitoy of Dalaguete, Cebu was convinced that it is worth a second try for this products after having seen good results.  This time, it is his carrot crops’ turn to benefit from a Natures Bio Experience.

Manong Sitoy was very contented the last time he use Natures Bio with his Cabbages. Now he wants to expand his experience on other crops and he started it with carrots. To see the difference between the Natures Bio treatment and the Conventional treatment, Manong Sitoy decided to make another comparative demo trial in his carrots using a smaller part of his land with two controls. It’s has a slight difference this time, since we are dealing with root crops so there are some adjustments in the protocol especially in the soil preparation to improve soil fertility. This will be the basis of the good form of the carrots.

As initially done, one control was used for conventional method (chemical fertilizers [solid and liquid], insecticides and pestisides), the other control is for the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller protocol:

  • Soil treated with fermented chicken dung and sprayed NBO /NBN twice before transplanting (50ml /50ml/ 16 liters Sprayer) every after cultivation. (Land Preparation)
  • Seeds soaked 12 hours with diluted NBO (50ml / liter H2O)
  • Seedbed treated with NBO /NBN
  • Sprayed every 7 days, with NBO/NBN (50ml/50ml/16liters sprayer) solution with the plants and more to the soil to arrest bacteria and repel insects.

After several days has passed and the protocol properly executed, Manong Sitoy has seen improvements and differences between the two controls. Since it’s a root crop, he started noticing from the leaves having fruits (bunga) from underneath the ground. Those treated with Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller has thicker and healthy leaves compared to the conventionally treated ones, which has thin and smaller leaves.

But the most important thing that Manong Sitoy wants to see in the result is the fruit (bunga) itself. Despite of the pest attack and some weather changes, still the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller treated control showed good results.

Because of the soil fertility, the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller treated control shows loose soil that makes the carrots grow freely and grow in the right shape unlike when it is not fertile.  When the soil is firm and hard it will make some carrots deformed, hence limiting their capability to grow into its proper shape. Also because of the soil fertility, the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller treated control absorbs more nutrients thus growing healthier unlike the conventional control which absorbs less nutrients and are prone to pest attacks.

With these results, Manong Sitoy and his neighbors were once again amazed with the Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller treatment. A big difference in yield between the two controls as well as the appearance of the carrots itself plus the cost efficiency of using Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller. Thank you once again Manong Sitoy for trusting Natures Bio Organic.

For the past month we have shared with you Manong Sitoy’s Natures Bio Experience with his Cabbages and Carrots. Now his friend, Sir Rudrigo “Rudy” Anam wants to try Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller this time with his bell pepper or “atsal” and wants to share his own Natures Bio Experience in Dalaguete, Cebu.

Manong Rudy witnessed the changes and improvement on Manong Sitoy’s cabbages and carrots by using the combination of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller and was amazed by the results. He however still wants to challenge the product and convince himself with the efficiency on his bell pepper. He wants to utilize the fertilizer during off season periods of bell pepper. Even his neighbours and other people were questioning his decision since it is not the right time to plant bell peppers because of the summer season, despite the proper irrigation and good elevation of the place.  Though he was warned several times by his co-planters not to plant during off season, he pursued planting the seedlings with Manong Sityo’s carrots maximizing the soil that was utilized.  Initially, he had some doubts about the product and so he started new ones

This is the protocol that was used for Manong Rudy’s Atsal:

• Soak seeds with NaturesBio solution (50ml/liter of water) overnight, before sowing.
• Prepare and cultivate the soil and sprinkle with Naturesbio /BioNim solution before planting. (50ml Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer / 50ml Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller / 16 liters Knapsack Sprayer)
• Spray with Naturesbio solution (100ml / 16 liters Knapsack Sprayer) every 7 days during late in the afternoon (4:00 p.m.) until harvest. You can combine Naturesbio with Bionim on alternate application to prevent insects.
• You can use NaturesBio solution for root or soil drenching with animal manure.
• Spray 2 days before harvest to extend the shelf life.

Manong Rudy was pleased with the results of the combination of Natures Bio Organic Fertilizer and Natures Bio Nim Organic Pest Controller to his Bell Peppers despite the bad weather and planting it off season. Improvements were shown as early as the germination stage where in the rate was a higher.  In the growing stage, they noticed good looking healthy leaves and healthy fruit. Surprisingly, there were less attacks from pests that occurred during the cropping and his neighbors were amazed. Manong Rudy managed to harvest his bell peppers after 60 days. With the healthy soil from the land preparation and the higher germination rate, he harvested healthy, bigger, shiner and undamaged bell peppers. He harvested more than the usual and was very happy with the outcome of his unconventional idea of planting even off season.

Today we feature the testimonies of Lilia "Baby" Kong and Rudy Kong of Kim Bee Farm located in Tugbok, Davao City. They plant and distribute fruits mainly Pomelo and plus Santol, Durian, Lanzones and Mangosteen.  For years, they have been using chemicals to cultivate their fruit-bearing trees. However, there came a time that they had to lease the farm to other recipients because of Mr. Kong had to rest for some ailment.  The farm however, was not well taken care of,  this made a the couples decide to take back their farm and decided to re-cultivate it by themselves again.  Upon returning, Mr. and Mrs. Kong noted that most of the Pomelo trees were not viable anymore.  Despite their hesitations, they decided to use Natures Bio Organic and Natures BioNim in replacemet of the costly chemical fertilizers,  with the hope of rehabilitating their crops.

Now, they share their Natures Bio Experience and its effects on their Fruits...

POMELO: "Ang tingin ko dito, patay na itong puno na ito, Pero biglang may umusbong na dahon pagkatapos naming mag spray ng Natures Bio."...(We have already anticipated that these trees were dead. After we sprayed Natures Bio, leaves started to sprout)

"Dahil nasa rehabilitation stage pa lang, maliit lang ang ineexpect namin na mga bunga at matatagalan pa bago maka recover. Pagkatapos ng unang spray, dapat ipapapruning ang mga puno para magkabunga, pero nakita ko na may bunga na... hindi na kailangan ang pruning..."   Since it was still in the rehabilitation stage, we were just expecting tiny sprouts since it will take some more time for the trees to recover.  After the first spray, we were supposed to do some pruning first.  But there were fruits already, so there was no need for us to do pruning. Usually one branch would bare 1-2 fruits, often that it will bare 3 fruits, but by using natures bio organic fertilizer and natures bio nim,

"Kumpul - kumpol ang bunga ng pomelo.... may mga tangkay na may tag sasampo o higit pa na bunga" - their trees bares 3-5 fruits per branch. Some branches even have 10 fruits or more

"Dapat, kung bunga lang, puro bunga lang. At kung mamumulaklak lang, ay dapat puro bulaklak lang..." – Supposedly if a tree bears flowers, they will only bear flowers at same time, and if they will bear fruits, it should only bear fruits.  Since they started spraying NBO and NBN, there were fruits and flowers at the same time. This means that the bearing of fruits is continuous.

"Mas malaki at makikinis ang mga Pomelo namin ngayon at hindi na inaatake ng insecto" -With NBO and NBN, these Pomelos became shinier and pests do not attack th

Here are their testimonies with their other fruits: "Dapat sa isang tangkay ay may isa o dalawang bunga ng durian" - Durian trees should only have 1-2 fruits per branch, but with the use of NBO and NBN, we have seen 8- 11 fruits in just one branch

"Mas malaman ang mga durian at mas masasarap" -The durians are tastier and have more chunks

"Naging maganda din ang epekto sa aming Mangosteen, Lanzones at kahit sa Santol. Kumpol - kumpol din ang mga bunga ng Lanzones, Maganda rin ang hitsura ng aming mga Mangosteen, Lanzones at Santol dahil hindi ito inaatake ng mga fruit flies. -  The effect to our Mangosteen, Lanzones and Santol were also good.  The Lanzones bear more fruits. Our Mangosteen, Lanzones and Santol are in better shape, shinier and have better appearance both inside and out since fruit flies do not attack them.
